At its meeting on 5 May 2023, the Committee, having been informed by the State party on 29 June 2021 that the complainant no longer faced a risk of removal from Switzerland as he had been granted a residence permit for one year, and having received a request for discontinuance from the State party, and an expression of consent from the complainant’s counsel on 8 December 2022 that the case could be discontinued since there was currently no risk of expulsion, decided to discontinue the consideration of communication No. 953/2019.
