Addendum

1.In conformity with article 72 (4) of the International Convention on the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, the tenth meeting of the States parties to the Convention will be convened by the Secretary-General at United Nations Headquarters on Tuesday, 29 June 2021, for the purpose of electing seven members of the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families from a list of persons nominated by States parties, to replace those whose terms are due to expire on 31 December 2021.

2.The curricula vitae of the six persons whose nominations were received by 31 March 2021 are contained in document CMW/SP/21.

3.The annex to the present note contains the curriculum vitae of one additional candidate, who was nominated by Benin after 31 March 2021.

Responsible for labour standards, as Director of Labour Standards, and subsequently Director of Labour Standards and Statistics.

Main professional activities

Designing and formulating legislative, regulatory and contractual provisions related to labour, manpower and social security;

Submission and ratification of International Labour Organization conventions;

Promoting the protection of children at work;

Collection, analysis, processing, organization, dissemination and storage of labour-related statistics.

Other main activities in the field relevant to the mandate of the Committee on Migrant Workers

Expert on the Beninese multi-actor migration platform established in November 2019 in Cotonou by the Trade Union Organizations’ Network for the Defence of Migrant Workers in Benin, with the support of the Freidrich Ebert Foundation (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung).
