Conclusions and recommendations concerning the second periodic report of Turkey (CAT/C/CR/30/5)

At the invitation of the Chairman, the members of the delegation of Turkey took places at the Committee table.

Mr. MARIÑO MENÉNDEZ, Country Rapporteur, read out the Committee’s conclusions and recommendations concerning the second periodic report of Turkey (CAT/C/20/Add.8) contained in document CAT/C/CR/30/5.

Mr. KURTTEKIN (Turkey) thanked the Committee for its conclusions and recommendations and said that they would be transmitted to the Turkish authorities and studied in the light of the Convention and of the Committee’s terms of reference and mandate.

The members of the delegation of Turkey withdrew.

The meeting was suspended at 3.20 p.m. and resumed at 3.35 p.m.

Conclusions and recommendations concerning the second periodic report of Slovenia (CAT/C/CR/30/4)

At the invitation of the Chairman, the members of the delegation of Slovenia took places at the Committee table.

Mr. YAKOVLEV, Country Rapporteur, read out the Committee’s conclusions and recommendations concerning the second periodic report of Slovenia (CAT/C/43/Add.4) contained in document CAT/C/CR/30/4.

Mr. GOSNAR (Slovenia) thanked the Committee for the work it had done and said that he would send the conclusions and recommendations to his Government which would, in its turn, forward them to the relevant bodies for appropriate steps to be taken. He assured the Committee that no efforts would be spared to make improvements in all possible areas to comply with international standards.

The members of the delegation of Slovenia withdrew.

The public part of the meeting rose at 3.45 p.m.
