OPTIONAL PROTOCOL ON THE INVOLVEMENT

OF CHILDREN IN ARMED CONFLICT

List of issues to be taken up in connection with the consideration of the initial report of Liechtenstein (CRC/C/OPAC/LIE/1)

The State party is requested to submit in written form additional and updated information, if possible, before 19 November 2009.

Please indicate whether national courts have jurisdiction in cases of forced recruitment or involvement in hostilities of a person under 18 years if committed outside Liechtenstein, by or against its citizen.

Please describe the law, policy and practice of the State party concerning the extradition of persons accused of having committed offences referred to in the Optional Protocol. In particular, please describe the legal basis, including international agreements, for cooperation with other States with regard to investigations.

Given the potential connection between the sale of children and their recruitment into armed groups, please inform the Committee of the State party’s intentions with regard to the ratification of the Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography, which the State party has signed.
