At its meeting on 28 April 2021, the Committee, having been informed by the complainant’s counsel that the State party’s authorities had accepted the stay of the complainant in Switzerland on humanitarian grounds, and that his asylum application would be re-examined on the merits by the State party’s authorities, and having noted the subsequent withdrawal of the communication by the counsel, decided to discontinue the examination of communication No. 959/2019, on the understanding that the complainant would be entitled to present a new communication, if necessary.
