ADOPTION OF THE COMMITTEE’S REPORT ON ITS TWENTY-FOURTH SESSION (CRC/C/97)

1. The CHAIRPERSON invited members to consider chapter I, “Organizational and other matters”, chapter III, “Overview of other activities of the Committee” and chapter IV, “Draft provisional agenda for the twenty-fifth session”, of the report.

2. Chapters I, III and IV of the report were adopted .

3. The CHAIRPERSON invited the Rapporteur to introduce chapter II, section B of the report, entitled “Reports by States parties under article 44 of the Convention”, which contained the Committee’s concluding observations on the reports of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Georgia, Jordan, Norway, Kyrgyztan, Cambodia, Malta, Suriname and Djibouti.

4. Mr. DOEK (Rapporteur) described the main aspects of the Committee’s concluding observations on each report.

Concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child: Islamic Republic of Iran (CRC/C/15/Add.123)

5. The concluding observations on the initial report of the Islamic Republic of Iran were adopted .

Concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child: Georgia (CRC/C/15/Add.124)

6. The concluding observations on the initial report of Georgia were adopted .

Concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child: Jordan (CRC/C/15/Add.125)

7. The concluding observations on the second periodic report of Jordan were adopted .

Concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child: Norway (CRC/C/15/Add.126)

8. The concluding observations on the second periodic report of Norway were adopted .

Concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child: Kyrgyzstan (CRC/C/15/Add.127)

9. The concluding observations on the initial report of Kyrgyztan were adopted .

Concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child: Cambodia (CRC/C/15/Add.128)

10. The concluding observations on the initial report of Cambodia were adopted .

12. The concluding observations on the initial report of Suriname were adopted .

(CRC/C/15/Add.131)

13. The concluding observations on the initial report of Djibouti were adopted .

14. The CHAIRPERSON announced that the Committee had thereby adopted its entire report on its twenty-fourth session.

CLOSURE OF THE SESSION

15. The CHAIRPERSON thanked all those who had contributed to the success of the Committee’s twenty-fourth session.
