Annotations
1.Adoption of the agenda
In accordance with rule 8 of the rules of procedure, the first item on the provisional agenda for any session shall be the adoption of the agenda, except for the election of the officers. Under this item, the Committee will consider and adopt the agenda for its eighteenth session.
2.Tribute to victims of enforced disappearance
A victim of enforced disappearance will provide live testimony by videoconference from Colombia.
3.Information received by the Committee
The Committee will consider any information received in relation to articles 33 and 34 of the Convention.
4.Matters relating to the Committee’s methods of work
The Committee will consider any issues related to its methods of work arising from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
5.Consideration of lists of issues
The Committee will examine and adopt lists of issues in relation to the reports submitted by Brazil (CED/C/BRA/1) and Panama (CED/C/PAN/1), pursuant to article 29 (1) of the Convention.
6.Consideration of requests for urgent action (art. 30 of the Convention)
The Committee’s working group on urgent actions pursues its daily work to attend to urgent action requests.
7.Adoption of the annual report
The Committee will adopt its annual report.
8.Provisional agenda of the nineteenth session
The Committee will discuss the list of items to be included in the provisional agenda for its nineteenth session, to be held from 7 to 25 September 2020.
