Note by the Secretary-General

1.In accordance with articles 30, paragraph 4, and 32 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the twenty-seventh meeting of States parties to the Covenant will be convened by the Secretary-General at United Nations Headquarters on Thursday, 4 September 2008.

2.The curricula vitae of 13 candidates received by 14 May 2008 are reproduced in document CCPR/SP/71.

3.Attached to the present document is the curriculum vitae of the candidate proposed by Senegal after 14 May 2008.

1992-1997:Judge of the Criminal Division of the Dakar Court of Appeal.

1997-2006: Advocate-general at the Dakar Court of Appeal, with responsibility for the Saint-Louis Assize Court.

From March 2006:Advocate-general at the Court of Cassation of Senegal.

Master’s degree in private law, University of Dakar
