1.The authors are a couple and are both recognized as having a disability. On 15 June 2018, they submitted an individual communication to the Committee. On 19 June 2018, the Committee registered the communication and requested the State party to take interim measures to suspend the eviction of the authors pending the consideration of the communication or to provide them with adequate alternative housing, in genuine consultation with them.

2.At its meeting on 22 February 2021, the Committee, taking note that the authors had not responded to its repeated requests for comments, considered that the authors had lost interest in the communication. The Committee therefore decided to discontinue its consideration of communication No. 36/2018, pursuant to rule 17 of its provisional rules of procedure under the Optional Protocol.
