1.On 12 February 2020, the Committee registered the communication and requested the State party to take interim measures to suspend the eviction of the author and her family pending the consideration of the communication or to provide them with adequate alternative housing, in genuine consultation with them.

2.At its meeting on 13 October 2020, the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, having noted the author’s request to withdraw the case on the grounds that she and her family have been provided with alternative housing by the public authorities, decided to discontinue its consideration of communication No. 177/2020, in accordance with rule 17 of its provisional rules of procedure under the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
