Election, in accordance with articles 28 to 34 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, of two members of the Human Rights Committee to fill two vacancies created by the resignations of Mahjoub El Haiba (Morocco), whose term was to expire on 31 December 2012, and of Helen Keller (Switzerland), whose term was to expire on 31 December 2014

Addendum

In connection with the nominations for election to the Human Rights Committee contained in document CCPR/SP/77, the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the United Nations informed the Secretariat, in a note dated 10 January 2012, that the Government had decided to withdraw the nomination of GulnarSatbayevaas a candidate for election to the Human Rights Committee.
